Eyeshadow palettes are my addiction. I’m always on the hunt to try new brands, color palettes and textures. Lately, I’ve gone crazy over eyeshadow palettes by theBalm Cosmetics. They are high quality, with great pigmentation, at a reasonably price.
One of my favorites is their NUDE’tude palette. A beautiful assortment of neutral colors, with more versatility than some of the other popular neutral palettes.
This palette is available on theBalm’s website for $36 or for those of you seeking a good deal, you can get it for $22 on Amazon. I’m also giving away this palette on my youtube channel, details below.

Shiny can be good.
Glitter, sequins, a clean car, all shiny things that are appealing.
Shiny can be good, but not on your face.
I’ve always been one to get oily and I’ve tried pretty much everything to help combat it. My latest attempt is trying Benefit’s the POREfessional Agent Zero Shine. It’s a powder that claims to reduce shine when applied under or over your makeup.
Here’s what it looks like:
It comes with it’s own brush, that tucks away neatly at the bottom of the container. The powder itself is a beige color, not exactly translucent but that wasn’t a concern since it matches my skin tone.
It retails for $30 and can be purchased from Sephora, Ulta and the Benefit website. Is it worth $30? Well, I decided to put the product to the test and show it in action.

The Smashbox Full Exposure eyeshadow palette, was that beauty item that haunts you every time you go to the store. The one you always want to buy but talk yourself out of it for one reason or another.
Well, I had a gift card to spend and I finally picked up it up!

It’s time to get edgy.
Too Faced has come out with an edgier eyeshadow palette, Pretty Rebel. The colors are reminiscent of Urban Decay’s Vice 2 palette so it’s ideal for those of you not afraid of a color.
Here’s one look I’ve done using this palette:

Urban Decay’s Vice2 Palette… all I can really say is HOLY PIGMENT! This was my first Urban Decay palette and honestly, I never understood what the hype was about until I swatched it.

Overall, the plastic packaging looks somewhat tacky but it is definitely sturdy and could withstand travel. The eye shadow colors themselves are incredibly pigmented and varied enough that you could wear this palette from day to night.
Here are two looks I’ve worn recently using only the Vice 2 Palette.
Even though the palette is a bit pricey, you get 20 eyeshadows so it comes out to about $3 each. Not bad. Overall I’d definitely recommend this palette if you aren’t afraid to go beyond neutrals.
