If you’re a woman over the age of 18, chances are you hate your pores. You’ve probably even tried a variety of cleansers, toners, creams, etc. that all promise to minimize the appearance of pores. You’ve probably also been disappointed.
Bad news is, once your pores are enlarged, there’s not much you can do to shrink them.
Good news is, there are products out there that can temporarily make your pores less visible… like Benefit’s POREfessional.
Check out my review, and side by side skin comparison:
Have you tried POREfessional? What did you think?
Whew! I can’t believe Christmas has come and gone. I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas if you celebrate.
I don’t usually get many gifts for christmas aside from money and gift cards, but this year I got a few really neat (and practical!) things.
Check out everything I got here:

You read correctly! Your local CVS Pharmacy is “cleaning house” by putting 100s of beauty and cosmetic items on clearance (50 – 75% off)! I spoke to an employee who said this is something that they do twice a year to make room for new product/resetting the department. According to her this should be going on in every store!
I decided to do further research and visited five CVS pharmacies in South Florida. Four out of the five had the clearance going on. It’s definitely worth checking out. Here’s the sign they place throughout the department:
Additionally, all eligible items will have a circular sticker with either 50% or 75% on it indicating the discount you can expect.
Here’s what I’ve picked up (so far!):
Happy shopping! 🙂
It’s always appalling when people can’t remember the last time they cleaned their makeup brushes. It usually means they aren’t washing them often enough.
As a firm rule I wash my makeup brushes AT LEAST once a week. Why does this matter? Because your skin will suffer if you don’t! Your face is covered with oils, dead skin cells and bacteria and when your brushes come in contact with your skin, they pick up some of it. Day after day, you are reapplying these oils, cells and bacteria to your skin, or even worse, contaminating your clean makeup! All these things clog your pores causing blackheads and pimples. YUCK!
Washing your brushes is easy. Here’s how I do it:

Everyone wants long, thick lashes. The easiest way to achieve this is to go the false lashes route, but I think false lashes should be reserved for special occasions… Like beauty pageants.
To achieve natural, thick lashes like the ones in the picture, you need the right products and you need to know the right application.
What I use:
1. L’Oreal Voluminous mascara
2. Maybelline Falsies
3. Rimmel Scandal Eyes Show Off
…in that order.
I use L’Oreal’s Voluminous mascara on my bottom lashes and on the tips of my top lashes. Maybelline’s Falsies and Rimmel’s Scandal Eyes Show Off are only for the top lashes.
The key to avoiding flat, clumpy lashes is in the application:
